NICA live: Tamara Lukasheva Quartett feat. Frank Gratkowski

Since January, the four NICA Artists Elisabeth Coudoux, Pablo Giw, Pablo Held and Tamara Lukasheva have regularly presented musical ideas, visions, cooperations or discoveries under their names in the monthly concert series "NICA presents". We are very happy to continue the series as "NICA live" in the new open-air concert space GREEN ROOM in the back part of the outdoor restaurant of the Stadtgarten (the former "Al Bosco"). Tonight is curated by NICA Artist Tamara Lukasheva.

Tamara Lukasheva's music is independent and variable, moving between strong melodies, Eastern European influences, dynamic improvisation and emphasis. This time she meets a luminary of the German jazz scene - the saxophonist Frank Gratkowski.
Together with drummer Dominik Mahnig, pianist Lucas Leidinger and bassist Jakob Kühnemann it will be intense, exciting and magical.
The quartet will soon celebrate its 10th anniversary, is winner of the New German Jazz Award Mannheim 2017, released 2 albums, played tours all over Europe and carries music in its heart.
