Between optimism and melancholy - the sound of GREBE is both powerful and dreamy, a symbiosis of elements from a wide variety of genres that merge with the warm, unmistakable voice of singer Daria Assmus. The use of electronic effects, loops and improvisation expands the sound spectrum of the instruments and creates an idiosyncratic world of sound that invites you to sink into it.
In driving, rhythmic songs, experimental pop music meets elements of electronic music - in quiet, avant-garde ballads, jazz and soul influences come to the fore.
The band cites artists such as Moses Sumney, Sevdaliza Men I Trust, Thundercat and Salomea as inspiration.
In 2019, GREBE was nominated for the PopPreis NRW in the "Best Newcomer" category. In 2020, they opened the stage for the Grammy-nominated band "Altin Gün".
