Zoh Amber © Scott Rossi
Zoh Amba / Philip Zoubek / Chris Corsano
She's the shooting star of the New York improv scene: Tennessee-born tenor saxophonist Zoh Amba, who has been living in New York since the fall of 2021. The 22-year-old plays with a deep sense of spirituality and emotional power, collaborates with the best-known sound painters in the creative music world, and has already left some remarkable musical footprints. For example, her debut album "Zoh Amba Quartet: O, Sun" (Tzadik, March 2022), produced by John Zorn, or her performances at the Monheim Triennale 2022. Now, in early 2023, Zoh Amba is touring Europe for the first time as a leader. For the concert in Stadtgarten she has put together a very special and exclusive trio, with US drummer Chris Corsano, who last performed with Mette Rasmussen, and Cologne-based Austrian pianist and NICA artist Philip Zoubek. Don't miss this!
