Very personal: Tamara Lukasheva & Negar Bouban
On the occasion of this year's Good Friday and its special character, which obliges to mourning and inner contemplation, we have asked Tamara Lukasheva to put together a personal program. In quiet songs sung in Ukrainian and German, the Odessa-born singer and composer, who lives in Cologne, wants to deal less with the current situation in Ukraine and more with building hope for new, beautiful times. She sings selected original compositions, poem settings and traditional Ukrainian songs. Her style of singing is just as intense as her craftsmanship on the piano.
The evening will open - at Tamara's special request - with a solo set by Iranian oud player and singer Negar Bouban. Negar Bouban impressively masters the art of improvisation, both in the traditional form of the dastgah concept and in free improvisation.
Two strong female voices, a unique concert evening.
