"Verstehen Sie?" – Disput im Stadtgarten: Beloved Homeland – Zum Konflikt Israel und Palästina

A discussion evening with Kerstin Müller and Claude Weinber.

The evening begins with the film 'Beloved Homeland', which explores the question of how people on both sides of the conflict live today. In the form of alternating interviews with people from the Palestinian and Israeli sides, an attempt is made to answer this question. The subsequent discussion will focus, among other things, on the fact that this conflict is not only about a national conflict, but about home and identity. How do the conflict parties deal with the desire for justice, freedom and security?

On this discussion evening we welcome Kerstin Müller, former Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office and Middle East expert, and Claude Weinber, Head of the EU Office of the Böll Foundation in Brussels and Paris.
Both were in charge of the Israel office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Tel Aviv. Claude Weinber from 1997 to 2001 and Kerstin Müller from 2013 to 2018.
Esther Lutgen and Alexander Tietz-Latza will moderate.
