With a gentle falsetto, an open ear and a sense for groove, BODDY spoils his audience. In his dreamy disco cosmos there is room for all kinds of oddities and the musician and producer seems to have recorded his multi-layered pop songs on time travels to past decades. The first single from his debut album is called Call to Action and it's a timeless bouncy flummer of an earworm that will stick. In general, BODDY's music is characterized not only by stylistic diversity but also by a great, sometimes surprising catchiness: Every song is a hit without calculation, born out of an unreserved musicality. Henry Lee is the name of the dream figure who sings to us. Breathed pieces of music, delicately carved as if they were made of wood. Sometimes decorated with archaic motifs from a world before our time, sometimes with the heart of two teens in love carved into bark. Just like the ghosts of the past, Henry Lee conjures up those of the present, their mystical-romantic transfiguration does not stop at everyday things. Her language is one of finding, words only find their true meaning in the course of time. Henry Lee's music is as polyphonic as a ghost choir and a modern society in equal measure, performed with a quivering chest, by a statue made of marble.
