The Tom-Tom Club rolls out the red carpet for the local heroes of the club & DJ scene. With free admission and an open door policy, the Tom-Tom Club is a place for exchange, new discoveries and musical experiences beyond genres or other boundaries.

At the Week of Surprise special, however, headliner Kampire brings a hefty dash of internationalism to the table: one of East Africa's most exciting DJs and a core member of Uganda's Nyege Nyege collective, Kampire's vibrant, polyrhythmically groovy, bass-heavy sets have transported her to clubs and festivals around the world. Her DJ mixes have been featured on Resident Advisor, Dekmantel, Fact Magazine, Mixmag, PItchfork and voted among the best mixes of the year multiple times. Nyege Nyege was originally founded to support the East African scene with residencies, studio time and two labels, Nyege Nyege Tapes and Hakuna Kulala. Most importantly, the eponymous festival in Kampala has become an exciting hotspot of African and international club culture.
