As a cellist and composer, Tomeka Reid (Chicago) is one of the driving artistic forces on the American jazz scene. She works with Roscoe Mitchell, Craig Taborn, Myra Melford, Anthony Braxton and Mary Halvorson, among others.
Savannah Harris (NYC) is one of "New York's finest players". As an extremely versatile musician, she works across all genres with Geri Allen, Peter Evans, Christian McBride, Jason Moran, Kenny Barron and the Hip Hop Collective Standing in The Corner, among others.
Angelika Niescier no longer needs to be introduced to audiences in this country. "The great European saxophonist" (BZ) is one of the musicians who are developing German jazz and taking it to an international level. The multiple prizewinner is a "breathtakingly spirited and virtuoso" (BR Klassik) musician and plays with Joachim Kühn, Tyshawn Sorey, Nasheet Waits, Jim Black, Sylvie Courvoisier, Ernie Watts, Soweto Kinch, Alexander Hawkins, Mariá Portugal, among others.
