Paul Heller invites Bart van Lier

On this evening, host Paul Heller welcomes the legendary Dutch trombone virtuoso Bart van Lier, who will be the soloist in front of the Paul Heller Big Band.

Both Paul Heller and Bart van Lier are proven big band experts with decades of experience in large orchestral formations. Paul Heller is a member of the Grammy-winning WDR Big Band and has worked with Bob Brockmeyer's New Art Orchestra and the Bobby Burgess Big Band Explosion, among others. Bart van Lier was for many years one of the outstanding soloists of the Metropole Orchestra, Peter Herbolzheimer's Rhythm Combination and Brass and the Sky Masters.

This extraordinary musical connection, coupled with their passion for spontaneous interaction and improvisation, creates a unique and captivating sound. For this evening, Paul Heller and Bart van Lier have prepared their own compositions, arranged standards and original pieces by long-time companions and friends.
