Lisbeth Quartett

With "Release" the highly acclaimed Lisbeth Quartet 2022 presents a highly anticipated album on Intakt Records. After twelve years of band history and five albums released together, saxophonist, composer and bandleader Charlotte Greve, who was awarded the German Jazz Prize in the category Artist:in of the Year last year, relied on her intuitive feeling for writing new music for her band. The result is an album characterized by sensitive interplay, full of subtle and multi-layered pieces that are at once gentle and powerfully flowing. Although the musicians live between Berlin and New York City, are all constantly on the road, and are each working on their own projects, their long history together and mutual knowledge of their instrumental styles enable them to blend and harmonize musically with ease.
