On February 4, 2022, the new and fourth Leslie Clio album, "Brave New Woman," was released. Prior to that, the echo-nominated singer and songwriter had founded her own record company, assembled a new team and, in a self-liberating artistic process, written some of the most fascinating songs of her career to date. She will now tour with the new album in March and April, with seven concerts in Leipzig (March 30, Kupfersaal), Stuttgart (March 31, Im Wizemann Club), Munich (April 1, Hansa 39), Berlin (April 3, Columbiatheater), Hamburg (April 4, Mojo), Cologne (April 5, Stadtgarten) and Mainz (April 6, Frankfurter Hof) on the tour schedule. Tickets are available in general advance sale.

"No one's gonna tell you how to move on / Except the girl with a gun," sings Leslie Clio in "Girl With A Gun," the opener of her fourth album "Brave New Woman," outlining right from the start what this album, which is in equal parts combative and at peace with itself, is all about: for two years beforehand, Clio had been searching for a record company that would understand her vision, that would understand what the hell she was about with these new songs. Artistic compromises were not intended here at any time. Every note, every line, every arrangement had to be exactly where Leslie Clio wanted it, because it didn't belong anywhere else. So, without further ado, Clio founded her own label and now releases "Brave New Woman" herself - supported by an all-female core team. In this respect, the album is not least Leslie Clio's proud message to the world to always stand her ground: "Stick to your guns", that was the slogan. The result is eleven songs whose core characteristics are still the insignia of the classic Leslie Clio sound: expansive arrangements, clear instrumentation and catchy melodies. Soul, pop, R&B and electronic influences still form the basis here, on which Leslie's unmistakable vocals are enthroned. At the same time, however, the new songs prove the impressive artistic development this woman has undergone. The wistful, enchanting acoustic ballad "Comment Allez-Vous?", the classically sublime piano song "Back to You" or the Camouflage hit "Love is a Shield", reinterpreted as an orchestrated ballad, testify to this development and at the same time remind us of the unique exceptional class of singer Leslie Clio. No question: With this album, Clio, who has been called "the best German singer of her generation" more than once, is approaching her vocal peak. Poppier numbers like "Good Trouble" or "Abcdef*ck Off" consistently continue the rebellion and edginess of the progressive opener "Girl With A Gun". After a hyped newcomer status with chart placements, radio hits, an Echo nomination as "Best German Artist", concerts at the biggest festivals and participation in "Sing Meinen Song" , Leslie now shows us how beautiful it can sound to be grown up. Brave New Woman" is a beautifully honest, innovative and timeless album that will accompany us for a very long time.

Support: Charly Klauser

At 30 years old, Charly Klauser is a multi-instrumentalist who leaves no facets out. The Cologne native is the daughter of a family of musicians and stood on stage for the first time with an instrument in her hand at the age of two and a half - in the front row of a violin orchestra. Today she is a singer, drummer, percussionist, violinist, pianist, guitarist, songwriter and producer, and it is impossible to imagine Germany without her in a wide variety of projects. Whether as percussionist with Peter Maffay, as guitarist with Sasha, as drummer with Alvaro Soler and in Carolin Kebekus' TV show or as co-founder and frontwoman of the all-girl rock band "The Black Sheep", Charly has already torn off many a mile since the age of 11.
