Le Pop La Série: Barbara Carlotti

She has undeniably one of the most beautiful voices of the new chanson. And with great certainty the most elegant of her genre. Now, finally, Barbara Carlotti is coming to Cologne for the first time. Her career began a good 20 years ago under the care of singer and producer Bertrand Burgalat, whose cinematic and stylish sound ideas ideally matched the crystal-clear sound of her singing and her unusual song ideas. Soon after, the famous English label 4ad (Cocteau Twins, Pixies, Lemon Twigs) became aware of her and released her first albums. Since then, Barbara Carlotti has repeatedly taken time out from everyday pop life, participating in theater productions, writing and producing music for comics and films. Now, after an excursion into the music of her Corsican homeland and the publication of her first book, she returns to the stage with her chanson program. And adds a special sparkle to the Le Pop series.
