LOKI
LOKI is the musical project around songwriter and producer Marc Grünhäuser. Since the release of the debut EP The Tales of Antheon the Rabbit in October 2019, LOKI is considered one of the most promising newcomers of the German folktronica scene. On the concept EP, which tells of the odyssey of the rabbit Antheon, LOKI can convince with a mixture of abstract sound compositions and multi-layered lyricism, which has often earned him comparisons to artists like Bon Iver or Apparat.

The band succeeds in making intimacy clear in both an acoustic guise and an electronically alienated facet in a way that is both haunting and empathetic. Lyrically, too, the group approaches the subject matter impressively. Thus LOKI spans the arc from philosophical self-questioning to religion.

LOKI has developed into a collective over the years: It's a circle of friends, a small studio space with red wallpaper and an old piano. It's time spent together, where the members inspire each other creatively and artistically: Sampling meets concert guitar - analog drum machines and Prophet synthesizers resound in natural spaces.

Welcome to the world of Liza Dries, where her daydreams are transformed into a playful soundscape combined with her glistening electric guitar and smooth voice. Her songs package heavy topics in a playful way, creating a portal to emotions that the listener can immerse themselves in.

Liza's forthcoming "Tegenkomer" is a dazzling five-track EP that uses a contemporary, atmospheric sound and Dutch lyrics to tell a story about her contrasting emotions. The translucent lyrics reflect her feelings from a third perspective - looking at her situations from the outside. Niks Zonder Jou invites the listener into her world with a clear guitar intro, which evolves into a playful production with vocal experiments and floating synth chords. This distinctive sound runs throughout the EP, leading the listener through a portal of emotions waiting to be explored.
