Jazz at JAKI: Silvio Morger Trio

The trio around drummer Silvio Morger consists of longtime musical companions who know each other from countless projects and performances.
In this first own project of the Cologne drummer, the three musicians live out their love for traditional jazz, not without also creating space for fragile and chamber music moments. From the original idea of playing Thelonious Monks' and Charles Mingus' pieces in a trio setting, their own song ideas soon emerged. Morger's compositions enrich the program with their own modern facets, characterized by clarity, groove and the search for strong melodies.

The debut CD "Reflections" was recorded in Cologne in early 2022 and will be released soon.
