The Nils Eikmeier Quartet consists of musicians from Cologne, who have been active together in various formations for years. Played are mainly the compositions of the band leader, which are characterized by an independent melodicism and rich harmonies. This creates multi-layered moods that captivate the listeners not only on an intellectual level. The common ground of the four musicians is always the language of the American jazz tradition, but the band is not afraid to explore the sound worlds of modern jazz. The band recently recorded their debut album and is now looking forward to presenting the new material.
