Jazz at JAKI: Christoph Möckel Trio

Christoph Möckel, according to Deutschlandfunk one of the "most promising young German saxophonists", stands in his trio together with Oliver Lutz and Tilo Weber for a new generation of young innovative jazz musicians:inside the German jazz metropolises Berlin and Cologne.

They form an exciting electric trio in the rare line-up of bass clarinet/saxophone, electric bass and drums. The additional use of electronic live effects allows for an almost limitless exploration of sound and leads to a homogeneous and surprising fusion that ranges from ambient to free to experimental jazz rock.

Together, the three musicians allow imaginative soundscapes to flourish in highly energetic improvisations and interactions.
