The music of Cologne guitarist Christina Zurhausen reflects the inner emotional world of a musician from the Ruhr region who, influenced by philosophy and literature, has created her own sound in modern jazz. In the classical guitar trio formation, this comes into its own in various styles ranging from groove jazz to odd meters and free pieces. Influenced by pioneers such as Scofield and Abercrombie, the guitar playing captivates with a unique style and sometimes sounds thoughtful and sometimes fervent.
With Dario Schattel on bass and Ramon Keck on drums, they are joined by two well-rehearsed rhythm acrobats who complete the sound of the original compositions and actively shape the communicative improvisations.
