Cortex
Avant Garde Party Music is a fitting title for the series of albums Cortex has released over the past decade. Cortex consists of four powerhouse players of Norwegian jazz, known from other formations such as Gard Nilssen's Supersonic Orchestra, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, PNL Large Unit or Moon Relay. With over three hundred 300 live performances and five albums, the young quartet is one of the strongest additions to the Norwegian jazz scene. The band's latest album, Legal Tender, was released on the Clean Feed label.
