Cologne Jazzweek: Kühne/Bigoni/Solborg „HANDS“

The German-Danish trio works with an intensely contemporary chamber music expression infused with Almut Kühne's extraordinary voice, Francesco Bigoni's motion-controlled arrangement of his horns, and Mark Solborg's prepared acoustic guitars. The focus here is on the relationship between sound and movement.

Danish guitarist and composer Mark Solborg has collaborated on previous occasions with virtuoso German singer Almut Kühne and Italian saxophonist Francesco Bigoni. Interpretations of selected works by Danish artist J. F. Willumsen and German painter Ernst Ludwig Kirchner were created as part of the German-Danish Year of Cultural Friendship in 2020, and in 2021 the trio was a guest at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, among other events.
