Ausverkauft: Paul Heller invites Julian & Roman Wasserfuhr

Following the good tradition, we are looking forward to a reunion with Julian and Roman Wasserfuhr in March! Jazz musical brotherhoods have always existed and will continue to exist. And who would appreciate the joys of shared interests among siblings more than Paul Heller, himself part of a swingin' brotherhood. Incidentally, brother Ingmar also shares with him a passion for large-scale ensembles under public law - the one as saxophonist of the WDR Big Band, the other as bassist of the NDR Big Band. Both discovered more or less simultaneously the desire for music and making music. Later they found their love for jazz, shared a stage together, only to part peacefully at some point - anxious to go their own ways - and later reunite briefly for projects. But only a few sibling pairs reveal such a pronounced will not to divide their cells professionally in the first place, but to shape their careers together for the long term. That alone makes them special: the Wasserfuhrs from Hückeswagen in the mountains.
In 2003, when Julian was just fifteen, the trumpeter was awarded the soloist prize at the German national competition "Jugend jazzt" (Youth Jazz) - and even then he was accompanied by Roman, the pianist, who was two years older. They recorded their debut while still teenagers and have proven to be inseparable to this day.
