Patrik Becker passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2021 at the age of 59.

For 12 years he organized the concert series "Real Live Jazz" with great audience appeal. 10 years in the "ABS" in Cologne-Klettenberg and since the beginning of the pandemic about two years as open air events in his own allotment and in the large front yard of a carpenter's workshop, whose team he belonged to for over 30 years as a carpenter.

In 2021 he was awarded the federal prize "Applause" for the 2nd time with his series "Real Live Jazz". In memory of Patrik Becker, an extraordinary promoter, networker and lover of jazz, his friends from Louisiana, Brian Seeger, one of the "best jazz guitarists in New Orleans" and Cindy Scott, the "Lady of Jazz from New Orleans", will perform alongside Cologne musicians on 23.9.
