Imagina Funk is the only European festival dedicated to funk music. It takes place this year for the 14th time, after two years of Corona break, on July 29 and 30 in the Andalusian hinterland, near Jaen in the beautiful landscape of the Sierra Mágina.

"Funk is Back" in 2022 - it's high time that this festival, which annually presents some of the best funk bands of the present from Europe and overseas, also receives appropriate attention in the rest of Europe. And so the organizers have decided to take the festival's unique musical mix to European cities with a few satellite events, including one in Cologne's Stadtgarten on May 26.

Imagina Funk #Take14 presents on this evening the live acts Mop Mop (Italy / Berlin), Pepe Bao (Spain) and DJ Twelve Beats (Spain).

Mop Mop
is an Italian musician and producer. He has produced and released jazz, funk and club music. He performs worldwide with his band, Mop Mop Combo, as well as a DJ.
Mop Mop will release a new album in 2022, this exclusive concert will probably be one of the first opportunities to hear something from it live.

Pepe Bao
is considered by many, including the Spanish Rolling Stone magazine, to be the best Spanish bass player. His musical range extends from funk, jazz, rock and world music to flamenco. He has played with international greats such as Marcus Miller and B.B. King, as well as with famous Spanish musicians such as Peret, Luz Casal, Kiko Veneno.
At the concert in Cologne he will present a new musical project.

DJ Twelve Beats
the Spanish DJ has lived and DJed in London for a long time, he has his own weekly radio show "Slow DIsco" under his real name Juanma Quesada at Playa Sol Ibiza Radio and is at home as a DJ in clubs and festivals all over Spain.
