She is described by the press as a "wanderer between the worlds of art pop, singer-songwriter and alternative rock" (musikreviews.de), the stylistic swerves on her three albums and 2 EPs so far established her as an insider tip and critics' darling. One could also speak of a mixture of adult pop, experimental rock and solid songwriting. Ché Aimee Dorval masters with her impressive voice songs in state-of-the art sound design, in which timeless sounds from different genres congenially come together with stylistic devices of contemporary electronic music, 'musikeviews.de' continues.

Ché Aimee Dorval grew up in Vancouver, her single mother relying on a large family environment of hippie aunts and punk rock uncles. Ché's childhood consisted of constant creativity and constant adventure, within this framework her individualism was formed, which later drew her to the clubs of Vancouver and the wider world. Basically, she made her living as a street musician and eventually ended up in Toronto, where she quickly became part of the indie scene. As she grew older, her talent was recognized, both as a solo artist and as part of the Devin Townsend project 'Casualties of Cool', with which she became internationally known. Since then, she has been a regular collaborator with the Canadian progressive thespian, including on his latest album 'Lightwork', co-written with star producer Nile Rodgers.

Work on her third solo album 'The Crowned' began before the pandemic with renowned producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi), after the end of the lockdown Ché took over the rest. You can tell from this work exactly how the artist evolved and why she did the same. You see here a woman who still carries the individualism from her childhood, but now combined with a drive and a vision, both qualities that have become very rare in our fast-paced world. We are talking about an artist in the true sense of the word, a product of passion and not of cure. At the same time, as the website "Betreutes Proggen" writes, "the aesthetics of Dorval's soundscapes go miles past the mainstream of popular music" and bring together different musical influences: Trip Hop, Gospel, Alternative Rock and AOR. "The stylistic range is extremely diverse." Fans can look forward to two inspiring concerts in November.
