Stadtgarten presents its programme for the season in the open-air concert space Green Room, which opens on 01.05.2021, in daily livestream concerts over the Carnival weekend: Songlines goes in search of honest pop music, the Tom-Tom Listening Session offers exclusive nights with the JAKI resident DJs, at JAZZ at GREEN ROOM the Green Room sounds in the modern interpretation of an old New York jazz club and NICA live presents musical ideas and visions of the NICA Artists.

The Tobias Haug Quartett, consisting of musicians from the Cologne jazz scene, moves
predominantly in the traditional area. It is the common love for hard bop that unites the four musicians. They convince with their energetic and driving playing and make every piece swing.
Their repertoire is influenced by great artists like Dexter Gordon, Cedar Walton or Art Blakey, who set new impulses in the 60s. The quartet plays mainly original compositions. But of course, jazz standards are not missing in their repertoire.
In March 2019, the band was rewarded with a performance grant from the Werner Richard - Dr. Carl Dörken Foundation.
