lit.pop x Précey feat. Jenny Cara, MSJY, Ada Luvv, Cloe Zwei, Klaryoko, AINO, no:elia, Philo

lit.pop will host the finale with the Cologne collective Précey. Précey wants to provide space for diversity in order to create safer spaces and empowerment in the club scene, but also to overcome genre boundaries. With this extensive, local and international line-up, no hip will stand still on this evening either!

Jenny Cara
Jenny Cara’s sets oscillate between blithe and cheerful sounds, driven by the dynamic influences of UK soundculture. Still, the human dynamo doesn’t let herself be put into a box. Based in Zurich, the Swiss DJ first touched base with electronic music early on when she launched out into the club scene of Lucerne, where her musical education began. Even though her grades in school suffered, her endeavors brought her to become a booker and later manager of Zurich’s Club Zukunft.

Jenny Cara’s energetic spirit taps into all different fields of her work, leading her to co-found the project eXchange, which revolves around creating access for BIPoC FLINTAs into the realms of DJing and music production and reducing discriminatory structures. Her selection oscillates between blithe and cheerful sounds, driven by the dynamic influences of UK soundculture. Still the human dynamo doesn’t let herself be put into a box. Her intersectional approach centers community, history, joy and accessibility, all the while not forgetting the importance of a good House banger. The attentive ear might have witnessed one of her appearances at notable places like Panorama Bar, DeSchool, Robert Johnson, C12 or Club Zukunft.

MSJY
MSJY mines joy from the unlikely, manoeuvring through bass music’s exhilarating fissions with an infectious energy that carries through her work as a DJ, producer, and talented merchant of a digital soul under the Xades alias. A nomadic energy fuels the Berlin-based artist’s craft, finding an honest home in any of her multi-disciplinary practices. Influenced by her mixed background, she absorbs influences with an open-mindedness that inspires a fascinating hybridization of global ideas. Encounter her playing a peak time DJ set day or night, delivering swooning vocal-led electronica pop, leading workshops for FLINTA identifying persons as a core member of the Femme Bass Mafia, or raving in the corner of any dark club; it’s clear in her remarkably varied output that there’s a binding commitment to music and uplifting the communities surrounding it.
