Foggy Notion: Florence Adooni

Florence Adoone is part of the extremeley vital Frafra Gospel scene in Ghana. But her voice is a big exception: Born and raised in the Ashanti capital of Kumasi, the epicenter of high-life music, her style differs from the original Frafra Gospel as played in northern Ghana.

Surrounding herself with the city's best young high-life musicians, she now uniquely combines the soul of the northern savannah and the sound of the rainforest region, fusing the best of both cultures into one unique event. Her debut single "Mam Pe'ela Su'ure" on Philophon Records has generated great acclaim both in Ghana and around the world.
