Bachelorabschlusskonzert: Joshua Knauber

The young drummer Joshua Knauber has always felt at home in various musical genres.

During his studies he was passionate about modern improvised music, rooted in African-American art music, and at the same time his enthusiasm and affection for the simplicity and expressiveness of grooves and beats grew. Joshua shows his versatile musical expression and expertise in the post-modern electric trio 'PKIII' or the piano trio 'The Big Why'. As the new accompanist of Retrogott and PERFEKTOMAT, but especially as the drummer of the RnB and Hip-Hop event WaveJam, Joshua's sense of music as a social event and community and his gratitude to be part of it grew.

First, Joshua presents himself for the first time as a bandleader with his own compositions, music by band members and other musicians from the US jazz scene. In the second half, you can expect passionate beats and grooves, for which he invites his closest friends as well as the young up-and-coming rapper Bernard to the stage. Look forward to a musically diverse evening from sensitive melancholic compositions to head-nodding beats and fresh rhymes, in a unique line-up!
