German Jazz Award 2022 - Stadtgarten Cologne becomes "Venue of the Year"

We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the German Jazz Prize 2022 in the category "Venue of the Year".

The German Jazz Prize has been awarded annually since 2021 by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media to honor the innovative power of jazz as an art form in all its facets.

In the "Venue of the Year" category, jazz venues or venues that stand out for their high-quality, artistically sophisticated and innovative programming and that give jazz as a contemporary art form a place to emerge and develop. In addition, criteria such as particularly good working conditions for artists play a role in the evaluation. The award winners are determined by online voting by the members of the German Jazz Union.

We are particularly pleased that the "Venue of the Year" of the German Jazz Award is chosen by musicians themselves, as we have always strived to promote artists in the field of jazz and improvised music and to create optimal presentation and cooperation opportunities for them.
