PULSE

The progressive string quartet PULSE creates immersive concert experiences in which genre boundaries dissolve, and sound becomes space and space becomes movement. Through collaborations with visionary international guests, PULSE explores intense, poetic, and experimental soundscapes that would otherwise remain inaccessible to a classical string quartet. Known for boundary-pushing collaborations with forward-thinking artists such as Fred Frith, Ludwig Wandinger, and Nick Dunston, PULSE has performed at festivals including Asphalt, Gaudeamus, Bezau Beatz, and JOE Festival.

HYPER III

HYPER is our miniseries about the post-digital age: It shows how our lives are shaped by digital streams—more and more, faster and faster, further and further—creating an audiovisual reflection of our time. Weird electronica and hyperpop meet voices, spaces, and pulsating sounds that make desire, frustration, togetherness, and loneliness audible and palpable. The digital waves of our everyday lives transform into intense soundscapes, blending with wind, field recordings, and voices, and prompting us to reflect on ourselves. In this way, HYPER makes the speed, interconnectedness, and intensity of our time tangible, while simultaneously reminding us of where we come from and that we, as human beings, are at the center.

In HYPER III, a string quartet and electronic music meet voices, field recordings, and video: PULSE performs works by Nicolas Berge, Ahmetcan Gökçeer, Nicole Lizée, Yuri Umemoto, and Pablo Garretón. Amid fragile soundscapes and over-the-top hyperpop energy, dense audiovisual spaces emerge, where the sensory overload of the digital world coexists with a longing for closeness and silence.
