10 years of Night of Surprise - Take a breath. Exploring the spaces in between. Changing perspectives. Exposing roots. Experimental niches. Radical border crossings. Fine poetry. An adventurous journey into traditional experiments, hyper-contemporary trends, transdisciplinary performances and astonishing music from all over the world.

Never before has such a wealth of experimental and headstrong music been produced as today. For 10 years now, the Night of Surprise - the "most adventurous music festival in Cologne" - has been bringing this proliferation of large and small experiments, deeply rooted traditions and fleeting phenomena of the digital sphere, lateral thinkers and those consistently committed to progress to the stages of the Stadtgarten in a breathtakingly polyphonic night.
