NICA live im GREEN ROOM: Menzel Mutzke/Simon Seidl/Dietmar Fuhr & The Human Element Johannes Ludwig/Gero Schipmann

Der Vorverkauf ist beendet. Es sind noch ausreichend Tickets an der Abendkasse erhältlich.

Since January, the four NICA Artists Elisabeth Coudoux, Pablo Giw, Pablo Held and Tamara Lukasheva have regularly presented musical ideas, visions, cooperations or discoveries under their names in the monthly concert series "NICA presents". We are very happy to continue the series as "NICA live" in the new open-air concert space GREEN ROOM in the back part of the outdoor restaurant of the Stadtgarten (the former "Al Bosco").
In addition, we will transfer the idea to the virtual concert room and launch "NICA streams ...", a new format that sees itself as the "ArtSalon" of the 21st century.

Menzel Mutzke/Simon Seidl
Menzel Mutzke is one of the most accomplished trumpeters on the German jazz scene. Whether with Pablo Held, the NDR and WDR Big Band or the successful brass band Moop Mama - Mutzke's skills on the instrument are in demand across genres. The Cologne-based trumpeter now presents his debut album "Spring" as a duo with his long-time friend and musical companion Simon Seidl, who is active in his trio with Robert Landferman and Fabian Arends, among others, and is also a frequent guest in the WDR Big Band.
Seidl's expressive and sensitive playing combined with Mutzke's dark and lyrical tone promise an absolutely worth listening concert experience.

The Human Element
Johannes Ludwig/Gero Schipmann

The Human Element is the essence of the friendship between two musicians who have been following a common musical path for a long time and see it more and more clearly and consciously in front of them.
Their music is inspired by human emotion, reveals a melancholic longing and celebrates everything that makes our existence worth living. In the beginning there is always a song, which is sometimes more concrete and sometimes more abstractly formulated, always calm, powerful and free of unnecessary ballast.
