On the second evening of the residency of Mike Herting and his Global Music Orchestra more special guests await us:
Issa Sow is a griot singer and master dancer from Senegal. At "Part 2" of the Global Music Orchestra he sings his own songs, but also lets himself in on compositions of the orchestra. The virtuoso balafon player Djiby Diabate from Burkina Faso already toured West Africa with the BuJazzO in 2013. Khadim Seck is also a griot and plays percussion together with Pape Samory Seck. He also masters the flute of the Peuls, an ethnic tribe native to all of West Africa. Reza Askari on bass completes the lineup this evening.
