The educational injustice of the Corona pandemic will still be felt in 30 years, says education researcher Aladin El-Mafaalani. Even though more and more young people are graduating from high school and going to university, the living situation of disadvantaged children was more precarious than ever even before Corona. The educational gap is widening. In the end, it is usually the parental home that determines educational success: either one is discriminated against or privileged.

Dr. Ann-Kristin Kolwes, co-founder of "erste Generation Promotion e.V.", and the renowned educational researcher Prof. Dr. Aladin El-Mafaalani, Professor of Educational Science with a focus on education in the migration society at the University of Osnabrück, discuss issues of social origin, concepts such as habitus and equality of opportunity, but also the question of whether Corona (further) reinforces educational inequalities.
