Jazz at JAKI: Felix Ambach Trio

Felix Ambach is a producer, multi-instrumentalist and composer from Germany who now lives in Brooklyn, New York. The deep trust and long-standing friendships within his trio form the basis for an honest emotional expression.

The trio includes his close confidants Jonny Mansfield on vibraphone (London; Chris Potter, Nikki Iles) and bassist Roger Kintopf (Cologne; Kate Gentile, Christian Lillinger).

Felix Ambach has worked with Yves Jarvis, Shahzad Ismaily, Milena Casado, Emmanuel Michael, Slowspin, Renee Christine, John Benitez, Grey Mcmurray, Django Bates and Frank Lazy, among others.

His music is inspired by influences such as Careful In The Sun, underscores, Pink Must, Prince, Sanguis, Toninho Horta, Shirley Horn, Steve Reich and Flanafi.
