Jazz at JAKI: Carlotta Armbruster Trio

Between composition, improvisation and interaction, the trio around trombonist Carlotta Armbruster with bassist Nico Klöffer and drummer Jakob Görris explores the possibilities of the trio line-up in a new way. Armbruster's compositions form the starting point for music-making that relies above all on the inspiration and creativity of the musicians. In a communicative process of acting and reacting, exciting tonal and rhythmic structures beyond convention are created. Bass and drums emancipate themselves from traditional roles and become equal partners in the development of the compositional material and joint improvisations.
