Deutschlandfunk describes Janning Trumann as one of the most profiled and active among the young German jazz trombonists and as an outstanding representative of the Cologne jazz scene. In his ensembles and projects he proves the diversity of his musical expression time and again, whether in a trio with Jonas Burgwinkel and Stefan Schönegg, his New York quartet, his Cologne working band JT4, in the ensemble TRILLMANN or the sextet MAKKRO.

The four-part concert format Seasons focuses on contrasts and creates encounters between renowned musicians* from the jazz metropolises of London, Oslo, Berlin and New York in Cologne. On the occasion of the fourth and last edition, Janning Trumann invited three of the most internationally renowned young musicians for jazz and improvised music to Cologne.
With Brandon Seabrook on guitar, Trumann meets a sound artist with precise rhythmic articulation who, together with pianist Elias Stemeseder and Christian Lillinger on drums, forms a highly interactive and improvising structure.
