Jan Klare | KIND
Jan Klare has been on the road as a saxophonist, bandleader and composer since the mid-1980s and has left little out along the way. His biography includes concerts in many countries, versatile productions (WDR Bigband) and collaborations (The Dorf and many more) with renowned colleagues. His constellation, KIND, is pretentious and plays "controlled derailed chamber music" with its own approach in the musical environment of third stream jazz and new music.
"Alto saxophonist Jan Klare presented his through-composed KIND combination and received the prize for the fastest precision and greatest suppleness of the entire festival. His dizzying wind arrangements force the audience to grin." (Jazz Wise)
Shannon Barnett (trombone), Emily Wittbrodt (cello), Shabnam Parvaresh (clarinet), David Helm (bass), Bruna Cabral (percussion), Jan Klare (saxophone, clarinet)
