HERZOG | MUCHE | NILLESEN – TON meets HEDVIG MOLLESTAD
HERZOG | MUCHE | NILLESEN is a trio for advanced improvisation at the interface of new music, experimental playing styles and free sound research. With trombone, double bass and snare drums, the three musicians develop a highly concentrated, physically and acoustically precise music in which timbre, resonance and microtonal friction take center stage.
The instruments are conceived and played beyond traditional roles. Breath, friction, overtone fields and subtle movements form dense, intertwined sound spaces. It is not about effects or virtuosity, but about a carefully balanced whole that slowly unfolds and demands a special quality of listening.
The music moves between intimate reduction and expansive, constantly changing soundscapes. Dynamics, form and tonality emerge from the moment and deliberately remain open, creating space for individual perception and concentrated attention.
"It must be impressive to experience the space filled with the omnipresent sounds of this adventurous trio."
- Dolf Mulder
