Hans Williams

The singer-songwriter Hans Williams, who grew up in Vermont and now lives in New Orleans, grew up surrounded by his parents’ record collection—which included albums by Al Green, Tracy Chapman, Steely Dan, James Brown, Tower of Power, and Funkadelic. This blend of soul, folk, and groove also shapes the music he creates today—in a city that, like the records of his childhood, is an inexhaustible source of diverse sounds and inspiration.
Hans writes songs that are both personal and cathartic. He blends emotion and melody in a way that resonates with anyone seeking a similar outlet. Together with his band, his personal sound expands: Introspection remains at the heart of his music, but it’s enveloped by driving rhythms that get the audience moving. His live shows blend introspection with energy, creating moments where the audience and band fuel each other without losing the emotional depth of the songs.
The year 2026 is all about his upcoming album as well as the singles “True
Feeling,” “Nosebleed” featuring Lyla George, and “Janie”, a collaboration with producer Phin Choukas. Hans Williams has built an ever-growing audience over the past few years: 1.6 million monthly Spotify listeners and more than 100 million streams throughout his career speak for themselves. As early as 2024, he completed a 26-date headlining tour across North America, which was 90 percent sold out.
He then toured Europe for the first time in 2025 as a guest of Hazlett and The Revivalists.
From Vermont to New Orleans to stages around the globe, Hans Williams proves that honest songwriting and an independent spirit can take you further than you might think—one show, one song, and one groove at a time.
