Grammy nominated tenor saxophonist Ben Wendel has enjoyed a full and varied career in the jazz world. The Brooklyn-based musician is showcasing his talents not only as co-founder of the band Kneebody but also as sideman for renowned acts ranging from Tigran Hamasyan to Snoop Dogg or the late Prince. In 2015, Wendel initiated his Tchaikovsky-inspired Seasons project, a series of twelve duos with distinguished jazz musicians that would eventually lead to the formation of a five-piece band and an album in 2018 of critical acclaim. After this success endeavor, Wendel started to work on his last-to-date project High Heart with a stellar line-up of acclaimed musicians such as Shai Maestro, Gerald Clayton, Joe Sanders or Nate Wood.
