Árstíðir kehrt mit ihrem besonderen Urlaubserlebnis auf die Bühnen Europas zurück!
Last year the fans of the Icelandic artist Árstíðir experienced the intimate set of their program, mixed with Icelandic and Nordic Christmas songs. The tradition, that began in Iceland in 2008, is now returning to the European stages. Árstíðir have one or two busy years behind them. After the release of their latest album Nivalis, the band toured Europe supporting Sólstafír and led last year's holiday run to round it off with the release tour for Nivalis, a record that just won the best Indie / alt.rock album at the 17th Independent Music Awards.
The tour, which starts at the end of November and ends a few days before Christmas, will take the band all over Europe.
Árstíðir commented: "Since 2008 we have been giving special holiday concerts in Iceland every December, where we mix our music with our favourite songs from Iceland and the Nordic countries, which we have put together especially for these occasions. Most of our listeners are familiar with our version of the Icelandic anthem "Heyr, himna smiður", which was a basic piece of equipment at these concerts. These events have become an important tradition that our followers in Iceland and abroad who have travelled to these shows in Reykjavík enjoy. Now we are extending this tradition to the whole of Europe and are launching this show in December. We invite you all to an evening of music, Nordic stories and stories.
Love from Iceland, Árstíðir".
