RasgaRasga are pure energy. Six musical border crossers, twelve instruments, four languages and a firework of emotions - like a rapids RasgaRasga carry their audience to a colorful, glittering place. A place of letting oneself go, of togetherness and of the moment.
RasgaRasga celebrate their own style of popular music with ever exciting new genre fusions and transcultural influences. On their upcoming album "HELIO" they express their heartbeat, their moods and feelings and consistently continue their path of musical border crossing between world music and pop: Sometimes euphorically erupting and then again hypnotically monotonous, sometimes melancholically wide, only to drive forward energetically again. The six musicians develop a maelstrom in their interplay that carries the audience along and pulls them onto the dance floor. The lyrics of singer Daria Assmus are mirrored in their diversity by the music. In English, German, Spanish or French, she carries the band with her multi-faceted, direct voice and compelling energy. RasgaRasga bring joie de vivre and color to the stage.
RasgaRasga are prize winners of the Creole World Music Competition and part of the Promotion Music Cultures of the Landesmusikrat NRW.
