As Yet Untitled: Bex Burch - Esther Coorevits - Stan Maris - James McClure

Berlin-based British composer, percussionist, and instrument maker Bex Burch brings her signature ‘messy minimalism’ to Jaki with As yet untitled—a work in progress.

Grounded in space, repetition, and deliberate chaos, As yet untitled balances composed structures with uninhibited improvisation to create deeply immersive sonic environments.
Through the collaboration of Sound in Motion (Antwerp), Space is the Place (Amsterdam), and jazz centre Rataplan (Antwerp) this special performance celebrates and leans in to the sound of your own communities. Joining her in this international quartet are South African, Amsterdam-based trumpet player James McClure (Sofaya), Belgian talents Stan Maris (Kin Gajo) on accordion and multi-instrumentalist Esther Coorevits (Nemø Ensemble).
A conversation between found sounds, audience voices and the wonderful creativity of each ensemble member, Burch’s approach embraces sonic texture, unpredictability, and a deeply collaborative spirit.
