The Atlanta-raised musician is only in her mid-twenties, but has already released four studio albums since 2013. In June 2022, Faye Webster will come to Germany for the first time.
Faye Webster knows exactly how and what she wants to express with her songs. Influenced by her time in Atlanta's hip-hop scene and in the rap collectives of PSA and Awful Records, she has developed her own genre-bending sound. Webster's music finds its origins in Americana and alternative folk, with a special twist of hip-hop and R&B. Her latest album, "I Know I'm Funny Haha" (2021) was named one of the best albums of the year by Pitchfork with the "Best New Music" award .
With her unique charm, nimble basslines and a steel guitar that has become her musical trademark, Webster comes completely out of her introversion on stage. She boldly showcases her intimate songwriting with feather-light vocals and a gentle touch of soul. As an added goodie, the yo-yo enthusiast even infuses her skills into her live shows.
