Verstehen Sie? Disput im Stadtgarten: Rechtsruck & Queeres Leben: Trumps Kampf – und die Gefahr für uns alle
Donald Trump shows what regression looks like: In the USA, the rights of queer people are being systematically pushed back. Trans* people are no longer allowed to join the military, gender-neutral language is banned in government offices - and these are not isolated cases. The German right is taking a close look. In this country, too, the CDU/CSU is already talking about reversing the Self-Determination Act. The AfD has been agitating against queer people for years - and the CDU/CSU is now joining in. The consequences are real and tangible.
What does this global shift to the right mean for queer life - in the USA, in Europe and here in Germany? What strategies are right-wing parties pursuing? And above all: how can we defend ourselves?
We want to discuss - about the parallels between Trump and Merz, about resistance, about solidarity and about ways in which we can protect queer life. Because this fight concerns us all.
