Shalosh
Shalosh is an instrumental piano trio that belongs to the current generation of cross-genre groups that are at home in the world of jazz as well as in other genres and reach a broad spectrum of listeners. Their music is raw, acoustic and progressive and crosses stylistic boundaries. In its ten years of existence, Shalosh has played an astonishing 350 international gigs on some of the world's most prestigious stages. Despite the classical trio format (piano, bass and drums) and the band members' deep roots in jazz and improvised music, Shalosh's music goes its own way and creates a unique and fascinating synthesis of different genres such as rock, classical, electronic, African and Middle Eastern music. Shalosh aims to create music that is both accessible and challenging, and calmly manages the balancing act of challenging herself as a musician and artist while leaving the door open to the widest possible audience. Their latest album is titled Tales of Utopia with a series of pieces in which groove and melody form the axis around which the trio revolves.
